Circuit Training

Circuit training is a great way to build endurance and accumulate work and repetitions of movements. Any exercise, be it with dumbbells, a barbell, or bodyweight, can be used in circuit training. Here, a great beginner workout to try would be to do lunges, lateral leg squats where you step out to the side and squat, plank holds, and toe touches where you have your feet extended and you touch your toes. If you have dumbbells, do lunges holding the dumbbells.


Doing rounds is another great way to get a killer daily workout at-home in while accumulating repetitions. For instance, you can choose to do five rounds with the same movements repeated. If you have dumbbells, you can do push presses with the dumbbells where you push one or both overhead, bent over rows where you lean forward and pull the dumbbells back behind you, and tricep extensions where you take a dumbbell overhead and exercise your triceps. You can keep these movements at low reps, such as between five and 10 and see huge benefits.
